DO NOT display the actual theme CSS CODE anywhere, ever. You MUST be a member of Theme-Worx to use our themes. Tell your friends to join if they want to use any of our themes. All our themes are the property of the respective creator and Theme-Worx , and are copyrighted by a joint agreement between both parties. Our tutorials, screenshots, images, icons, logos, etc., are our property and are protected by copyright. You can NOT copy them to post/display elsewhere without permission. You may save our tutorials, that are on documents, to your computer foryour own reference. As a Theme-Worx member, you MAY copy the css code, of any theme you choose, paste it into your Advanced window in "Appearances", and Save it there in order to put a theme on your own page on any NING site to which you are a member. If in doubt, ASK...FIRST!! If you are interested in learning how to create themes using a CSS code and would like to share your creations with others, you are welcome to join us and take advantage of our easy to follow tutorials. We also have our own Theme Worx Image Hosting site that is free to all with limited use and you can upgrade easily for a small annual fee to get unlimited bandwidth. You will need a good image hosting site in order to create themes, and ours is one of the best available at a reasonable cost. Respect other creators and follow our Terms of Service, found in the right sidebar. Learn all you can about our site and how we operate before you start submitting themes for publication. If you have any problems or questions, feel free to ask us, Marlane or Bud, by posting a comment to our pages, by sending us a message, or by posting a question in our group, Ning Themes for Dummies. It is a centralized place for Q&A here at Theme-Worx. We DO NOT monitor Chat for help. We might see a question there and answer it, but don't depend on it. Leave us a comment on our page. We have guidelines for posting themes in our left sidebar and you will find our tutorials located on our Main Tutor tab on the navigation bar and the sub-tabs beneath it. Your page here at Theme-Worx is your workplace. Use it to create your themes, try new codes, mess up, start over and make your screenshot once you have it perfect. By using your page here, we can help you better with the theme. If you create somewhere else, we are limited on how much assistance we can give you. We need to 'see' where the problem may be. **DO NOT POST "BLOGS" HERE AT THEME-WORX. THE AREA, "THEME POSTS", IS ONLY FOR SUBMITTING NEW THEMES TO OUR COLLECTION** Use the Text box on your page to post anything of interest to you. Be sure it follows our TOS. You can post music players, photo slideshows/albums, graphics, write a little about your interests, etc. We have a place to post photos, BUT we are not a 'social' site. Please don't post a mass amount of personal photos. Our Photo application is not a photo hosting place. Posting personal photos online anywhere is dangerous. ANY one can get them and use them as they choose. So, be careful. You should keep all your personal photos safe at an image hosting site. You would need to join an image hosting site if you plan to create themes anyway. You may post a few personal photos, unusual graphics that you would like to share with everyone, or something you might like for a creator to put in a theme. We have our own, low cost, image hosting site, Theme Worx Media Image Hosting, that you are welcome to join for FREE with limited bandwidth. Should you need more bandwidth later, you can upgrade at a low annual cost. We regularly offer specials. So watch for them, too. Save your personal photos at your image hosting account, and if anything ever happens to your computer, your photos will be safe. All groups and discussions that are started must be on subject to themes..tutorials, graphics, coding, websites, etc. We will review all groups started, for approval. You are NOT required to submit your themes that you create. If you want to keep it for yourself, simply do not submit it as a new theme. You are NOT required to create themes in order to USE our themes. Out of all our members, only a small fraction actually "create" themes. Those that do create themes, do so because they enjoy making themes and are very generous to share them. You are not required to give recognition to the creator or links back to Theme-Worx, although it would be a courteous thing to do. That is left totally up to the individual. We do appreciate anyone who would like to post our badge on their sites Main page or on members profile pages on other sites.
Theme-Worx is not a social site. We are a working site, daily working on themes for NING members. We are not a dating site, nor a place to advertise products, post videos of sales pitches, religious sermons, or anything else that does not pertain to themes, coding, graphic design or layouts. We will NOT allow harassment, drama, racial slurs, obscene language or images, or any other activity that is offensive or does not pertain to our purpose...THEME CREATION. You can post what you want on your page and friendly comments and graphics on your friends pages. We also have Chat for instant correspondence with friends. Remember the TOS in all instances. If you are in doubt, ASK!! We WILL ban anyone who abuses our site.

We respect and do not bad mouth other sites, although, we often do not get the same respect. Theme-Worx prefers to maintain a, somewhat, professional demeanor. We welcome anyone who is serious about creating themes and is interested in learning. We, along with our many dedicated creators, are willing to help anyone who has a problem or question with making a theme. We aren't mind readers, you have to ask us if you need help. So, look around, familiarize yourself with how we operate, and when you feel comfortable, dig in and start creating! You will find it very addictive and tons of fun...once you "get it".

The following Terms of Service apply to your use of this Network. You are solely responsible for your conduct and your content on the Network and compliance with these terms. By registering with us or using or browsing this Network, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

You agree that you will not post, email or make available any content or use this Network:

  • In a manner that infringes, violates or misappropriates any third party's intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights or contractual rights;
  • in a manner that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
  • to engage in spamming, "chain letters," "pyramid schemes", advertisement of illegal or controlled products or services, or other advertising or marketing activities that violate these Terms of Service, any applicable laws, regulations or generally-accepted advertising industry guidelines;
  • in a manner that is misleading, deceptive or fraudulent or otherwise illegal or promotes illegal activities, including engaging in phishing or otherwise obtaining financial or other personal information in a misleading manner or for fraudulent or misleading purposes;
  • in a manner that is libelous or defamatory, or in a way that is otherwise threatening, abusive, violent, harassing, malicious or harmful to any person or entity, or invasive of another's privacy;
  • in a manner that is harmful to minors in any way;
  • in a manner that is hateful or discriminatory based on race, color, sex, religion, nationality, ethnic or national origin, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or age or is otherwise objectionable;
  • to impersonate any other person, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, or to obtain access to this Network without authorization;
  • to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of this Network or prevent others from using this Network, or in a manner that disrupts the normal flow of dialogue with an excessive number of messages (flooding attack) to this Network, or that otherwise negatively affects other persons' ability to use this Network;
  • to use any manual or automated means, including agents, robots, scripts, or spiders, to access or manage any user's account or to monitor or copy this Network or the content contained therein;
  • to facilitate the unlawful distribution of copyrighted content;
  • in a manner that includes personal or identifying information about another person without that person's explicit consent;
  • in a manner that employs misleading email or IP addresses, or forged headers or otherwise manipulated identifiers in order to disguise the origin of content transmitted through this Network or to users; and
  • in a manner that constitutes or contains any form of advertising or solicitation if emailed to users who have requested not to be contacted about other services, products or commercial interests.

    • Additionally, you agree not to:

  • "Stalk" or otherwise harass anyone;
  • Collect, use or disclose data, including personal information, about other users without their consent or for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable law or regulations;
  • Request, solicit or otherwise obtain access to usernames, passwords or other authentication credentials from any member of this Network or to proxy authentication credentials for any member of this Network for the purposes of automating logins to this Network;
  • Post any content containing child pornography to this Network;
  • Post any content that depicts or contains rape, extreme violence, murder, bestiality, incest, or other similar content;
  • Post any content that constitutes pornography, contains nudity, or is adult in nature.
  • Use automated means, including spiders, robots, crawlers, data mining tools, or the like to download data from this Network - except for Internet search engines (e.g. Google) and non-commercial public archives (e.g. archive.org) that comply with our robots.txt file, or "well-behaved" web services/RSS/Atom clients. We reserve the right to define what we mean by "well-behaved";
  • Post irrelevant content, repeatedly post the same or similar content or otherwise impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Network's infrastructure;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our computer systems or engage in any activity that disrupts, diminishes the quality of, interferes with the performance of, or impairs the functionality of, this Network;
  • Use this Network as a generic file hosting service;
  • Take any action that may undermine the feedback or ratings systems (such as displaying, importing or exporting feedback information off of this Network or for using it for purposes unrelated to Ning); and
  • Develop, invoke, or utilize any code to disrupt, diminish the quality of, interfere with the performance of, or impair the functionality of this Network.

You agree not to authorize or encourage any third party to use this Network to facilitate any of the foregoing prohibited conduct. You also agree that these Network Terms of Service inure to the benefit of our service providers (including our Network platform provider) and that they may take action (including the removal of your content and disabling of your account) in order to maintain compliance with these Network Terms of Service. Technology and hosting for aspects of this Network are provided by Ning, Inc., an online service provider ("Service Provider"). However, the Network Creator of this Network controls the content, membership and policy of this Network, including those pages served by the Service Provider on behalf of this Network. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, by participating on this Network you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider on all matters related to your interaction with others using this Network and participation with this Network.
